NUS and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee (“LJNAAC”) signed a strategic framework agreement to jointly establish a research institute in Chongqing on September 20, 2018.

NUS and LJNAAC signed a detailed implementation agreement on the joint establishment of NUSRI-CQ on September 11, 2019.

NUSRI-CQ was registered as a non-profit organization with an independent legal entity under the auspices of LJNAAC on April 7, 2020.
