Modern Logistics

In the Centre for Modern Logistics, we will fully utilize advances from both NUSRI-CQ and Singapore to develop tools and technologies, and train key manpower (engineers, PhD students, and researchers) specialising in the field of Operations Research and Analytics, pertaining to its applications in the field of modern logistics.

Operations Research involves the application of a broad spectrum of quantitative methods such as optimization, stochastic analysis, simulation, statistical and machine learning and so forth to analyze and solve problems that arise in business, industry and society. Solutions typically make use of real-time data from the internet and social/media networks, along with extensive computation to obtain optimal or realistic decisions, as well as to yield new insights that support decision making.
